ABOUT LOST SHOE

General Manager
Favorite Lost Shoe Brew:   I love so many styles of beers, so this is hard to answer. When I started drinking beer I enjoyed lagers & stouts (and still do!). Lagers are still great but my Achilles heel is stouts, hands-down. My favorite beer is: Skate Shoes & Tattoos.  Every day is stout season! 

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:   It’s all about the people around you! We have an amazing team and getting to work with them makes every day great. This applies to the community around us, too. I love guiding our guests to find a beer that they’ll love; and getting to talk about, teach about, and think about great beer while also having the opportunity to do things that grow the community who supports us is great. From meeting first timers to long time guests, it feels like a family at Lost Shoe! 

Favorite thing to do outside of work:   Spending time with Heather (my partner in crime). We love to travel and visiting craft breweries is always on the list, from new ones to ones we’ve been to multiple times. 

Social Media Manager
Favorite Lost Shoe Brew:  Any of our Sours (Sleeps with Fishes is up there) and Post Road Detour. An Iced Matcha Latte with Honey is my usual AM go-to. 

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:  The people and environment! Coming to work hardly feels like work when everyone is so easy to get along with and where you’re working is as laid back as it is. The delicious and creative beer/coffee drinks ain’t so bad either! 

Favorite thing to do outside of work:  You’ll usually find me reading a good book, doing a puzzle or trying out new beer and food with my husband! When time allows, there is so much more of the world I intend to see.

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew:  My favorite beer is probably Anyone Hear A Helicopter? I'm a sucker for a fruited sour with cinnamon. 

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:   It's the most supportive environment I've worked in. Education is super encouraged and we even have books we can sign out to learn more about beer and coffee!  

Favorite thing to do outside of work:   I've been going to a lot of concerts recently and go to a monthly record club. 

Roaster

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew: Maple Street Island Fiasco and Warren Block 

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:  Co-workers and education! I've been having a blast learning more about the roasting process all thanks to Melynda and learning more about brewing with JP. And I love being with the team, and most importantly hanging out with our taste tester, Rye. 

Favorite thing to do outside of work:  Camping, visiting new places, video games and trying new beers. 

Office Manager

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew: A mug of Dog Beer

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe: Getting scratchies from the team and being the official dog treat taste tester

Favorite thing to do outside of work: Visiting Uncle Porter and swimming at the lake

Support Team

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew:  My favorite brew is the lemonade but my dad’s favorite is the Bier.

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:  My favorite part of working at Lost Shoe is my coworkers and how everyone is so nice. 

Favorite thing to do outside of work:  In my free time I like to hang out with my friends and family and I like to play Special Olympic sports.

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew:  My favorite Lost Shoe beer is Post Road Detour (cream ale yummy!) and Leath Bhrógan (love a good Irish Red ale!)

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe:  My favorite part of working at Lost Shoe is feeling wanted and appreciated each day I walk into the building. It’s an amazing feeling coming to work and always having co-workers smile and wave to you! They are happy to see/work with you! Definitely not used to that from my previous employment! Also it’s really cool to learn about new and different types of beers and to share that information with customers/ friends! 

Favorite thing to do outside of work:  One favorite thing I do outside of work is board dogs in my home. It’s hard work but I love dogs and care for them as if they were my own. When I have a break from dogs I love to go hiking; it’s very freeing to me. Also love to check out different breweries and relax with friends on my patio catching up!

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew: My favorite Lost Shoe beer is Merlin's Mischief

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe: Working in a space that has an incredibly inviting, friendly, and wicked chill atmosphere! I look forward to the awesome interactions that come with each shift: whether they are with my spectacular Lost Shoe crew, our fabulous regulars or newcomers. Oh and I cannot forget being able to taste test all of our new beers and coffee drinks! Strictly for quality control, of course ;)

Favorite thing to do outside of work: I love going thrift shopping. They don't call me the "Thrift Queen" for nothing!

Favorite Lost Shoe Brew: My favorite beer is the Festbier and my favorite coffee is an Ethiopia Americano

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe: My favorite part of working at Lost Shoe is that moment when someone takes a sip of their favorite Boyd and their eyes just light up or when you see a familiar face walk through our doors.

Favorite thing to do outside of work: I am a creator at heart and a designer by trade so I love getting my hands dirty and starting new projects.

Favorite part of working at Lost Shoe: The people! I've met so many cool, smart, funny, weird, interesting, unique people since I started at Lost Shoe. Both the people with whom I work and the customers keep my neurons firing. They are genuine, kind and positive. We work hard, but it rarely feels like work in the traditional sense.

Favorite thing to do outside of work: My favorite thing to do is hang with my baby love Mikayla. We like to watch movies and some shows, sing karaoke, check out breweries and dive bars, hike, and travel around the country and beyond.
